INERT GAS SERIES: BOX, 2005/2010 (with Julian Claxton)
This is a reworking and update of a work made in 2005 for the accompanying publication for the exhibition BRSLAXVAA.
The work consists of a telephone conversation between Julian Claxton (founder and director of Plan 9 2005-2007) and 1960's conceptual artist Robert Barry, and two printed colour images. The conversation discusses the location of Barry's Inert Gas Series: Krypton, 1969, of which a reproduction is one of the two images. The second image is an attempted remake of this work by myself while in Beverly Hills (the origin of the original work) in 2005, working from memory and also through the telepathy of Julian Claxton back in the UK studying a map and the original image.
A transcript of the conversation will appear here soon, and you can also listen to the phonecall here on the BRSLAXVAA section of the website
